So what exactly is this Project for the web? Is Project Online going away? Can I use my current licensing with the new service?
As mentioned earlier this month project service changes coming October threre are changes coming to Project Online.
At the end of October 2019, Microsoft will update subscription names on thier websites and in thier documentation. The updates to the subscription names – and what these subscriptions include – are as follows:
Original: Project Online Professional
Microsoft let us know that the new project management experience, as a part of the new Project service, will be rolling out to your tenant, starting in October 2019.
Have you ever wondered how you get started with Project Online?
So as an example let's say someone from the Project Management Office calls IT and says we need Project Online turned on.
IT does their due diligence and comes back with a few questions after looking at costs of licencing and what would need to be turned on.
Now IT responds with simple questions like
So as a Project Online user how would you add Tasks to a Roadmap in Project Online.
Lets start by creating a Roadmap and now having a project associated with it.
Here is an article showing how to connect a project to a Roadmap.

After creating your Roadmap it is connected to a project.
We like to share messages from the Admin Portal of Office 365 for those who might not have access in their own tenants or simply do not have time to read all the messages that come in each week.
Microsoft announced the To-Do & Planner Integration as a new Office 365 feature.
We should start to see this feature rolling out in April 2019 into May. Sorry GCC customers not yet.......
How To Create an Enterprise Project Type in Project Online
In Project Online or what some refer to as Project Web App, an enterprise project type (EPT) represents a container of information for projects and their types. Things such as what phases, stages, will be represented based on the EPT having a workflow. What Project Detail Pages (PDPs) will be available when a workflow is not required for the EPT. Each EPT is a single project type and only one type.
So from https://project.microsoft.com/en-US/ you can create new or add a project to an existing Road map.
So after you select to create a Road map you need to add rows [at least one] which in turn will be a project you select.
Copying Plans
Now with copy plan in place, you can now easily duplicate plans with tasks and use this as a template for future groups. Now this will not copy over members to the new group. This is not copying over progress of tasks or due dates either. This will give you the tasks themselves with descriptions and checklists only.
Lets look how to create a copied plan.
So why do I need custom fields in Project Server 2013?
